Translated to “Much Spreading” in Hawaiian, this collision of contrast has been evoked from Mount Kilauea’s active lava flow as it enters the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii.  Kilauea, one of the youngest hyperactive shield volcanoes, is widely considered to be the most active volcano on Earth today. The smoky blacks plume into the whites creating a vivid visual of the two competing, yet never ceasing forces.
