Pele, there are several legends of the Hawaiian goddess of fire, wind and volcanoes. In addition, she is known for her power, jealousy, passion, and volatility. While she guardians the entirety of the volcanoes on the Hawaiian islands, her domain is specifically in the Halemaʻumaʻu crater at the summit of Kilauea, on the Big Island of Hawai’i; one of the most active volcanoes on Earth.
